Justin Reynier, the former bartender at Equinox Brewery, recently purchased Fort Collins Clean Air Lawn Care.
It’s the first time the Fort Collins business has been owned by a franchisee instead of run by its corporate office, which is also located in the city.
Reynier is a familiar face throughout Fort Collins.
After leaving his manager apprenticeship at Happy Heart Farm, he worked at Equinox Brewing, where he learned more about running a business by managing the bar at the popular brewery. He also started his first small business, growing hops on a rented acre at Happy Heart and selling them to Equinox.
“Clean Air Lawn Care aligned with my values and I believe I can grow this green business in Fort Collins,” Reynier said in a written statement.
Kelly Giard, CEO of Clean Air Lawn Care, said he is excited to have Reynier on board. “At company headquarters we are focused on creating healthier lawns across the entire country, but it all started here in my garage in Fort Collins. For the flagship location, where everything started, it had to be the right person. I have had many talks with Justin over a pint during the last several years and he is that person.”
Clean Air has 50 franchisee-owned locations across the country.
