Believe it or not, climate change is a very real and dangerous phenomenon. The world’s ice caps are melting at an alarming rate, natural disasters are causing havoc, partially due to the warming of seawater, and temperatures in recent years have been sweltering. Although there are allegations that global warming is simply nature’s evolutionary path, these claims can quickly be debunked by scientific organizations such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Both share an agreement “that climate change is happening and is primarily caused by excess greenhouse gases from human activities.

Each individual needs to reduce their carbon footprint

Many people think that their decisions don’t have any influence in the greater scheme of climate change, but if every individual focused their efforts on the reduction of their carbon footprint, the outcome would produce noticeable results. This is why Clean Air Lawn Care was born – to change the status quo of lawn care and educate people about alternative, healthier options. Our mission to fight global warming is two-fold:

First, by employing solar and wind energy to power our equipment, we emit 3,300 times less hydrocarbons, 5,000 times less CO, 1/5 as much NOx & less than half of the CO2 as gas powered lawn equipment.

Mowers consume 580 million gallons of gasoline annually and more gas is spilled during refueling each year than was spilled in the Exxon Valdez oil spill, so by using electric equipment we are saving wasted fossil fuels one lawn at a time. The switch from traditional lawn maintenance to sustainable lawn care is a fairly easy one to make and the positive outcome on the environment is tremendous.

Organic lawn care adapts better to climate change

It’s also notable that organic lawn care is also better at adapting to climate change. You see, traditional lawn chemicals (pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, etc.) create major soil deterioration, which inhibits healthy root growth. An organic system for your lawn encourages microorganisms, nutrients, oxygen and water to easily flow through soil, which expands roots to their greatest depth. When the soil is healthy and roots are deep, water retention increases greatly, making excessive watering unnecessary. This becomes especially important during times of drought and in warm climates. As global warming continues to affect our world, any chance to conserve water is desirable.

Join the Clean Air Lawn Care movement and go sustainable and organic

Clean Air Lawn Care is dedicated to doing our part to curb global warming through the use of renewable energy, the reduction of carbon dioxide and fossil fuel usage and by providing customers with organic lawn treatments that will become sustainably viable over time, thereby saving resources and money.
