Clean Air Lawn Care is a pioneer in sustainable and organic lawn care. We are a sustainable and organic lawn care franchise headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. Clean Air Lawn Care is the industry’s leading innovator for sustainable and organic lawn care services. With over 50 nationwide eco-friendly lawn care franchises spanning over 60 territories, Clean Air Lawn Care is going nowhere but up (and out). We started out small, in a household garage in Fort Collins, CO, but as demand continued to grow and popularity flourished, we decided to expand across the country to offer green franchise opportunities nationwide. Besides, everyone deserves a quiet, clean, and renewable approach to lawn care.
Our eco-friendly franchises are based on a turnkey business model that has continual support from our headquarters. Opening a franchise has clear advantages over opening an independent business; read more about the benefits of opening a franchise.
Our mission is simple – to harness the earth’s natural, renewable resources and apply them to the practical process of lawn care. It’s important to keep up with the changing times, and with the ever-growing demand for sustainable practices, why not combine traditional business with an environmentally respectful application? Are you aware that 5-10% of the United States’ air pollution comes from landscaping practices? Don’t worry, most people are not. We’re interested in educating communities across the nation about statistics like the one above because, eventually, if one person in a neighborhood hops on the “sustainable lawn care train” then others are likely to follow suit. See how the air quality in your city compares to those across the nation here. Customers who are concerned about the environment and the effects of nasty emissions look to their local Clean Air Lawn Care franchise as their trusted source for knowledgeable advice and expert practices.
What sets Clean Air Lawn Care apart from other franchises is our commitment to the environment and our inventive wealth of resources. Our trucks, for instance, have solar panels mounted on them that absorb energy from the sun and subsequently charge our equipment. Besides their sleek appearance, the electric powered mowers save the environment from emissions like carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides. In fact, conventional walk-behind mowers emit as much pollution per hour as 11 cars. So every time we maintain a lawn, we are doing so in an environmentally respectful way. As an eco-friendly franchise, it’s our mission to help the Earth and give customers the most luscious lawn in the neighborhood.
Because our tools are electric, they’re also exceptionally quiet. The Department of Interior’s Green Seal report estimates electric lawn mowers cut noise emissions by 50-75%. This aspect is great for neighbors, working environments, napping children, and our employees.
Nobody wants their child or pets playing in a yard full of chemicals. Lawns are supposed to be a safe zone, right? According to the EPA, “Before applying pesticides or other household chemicals, remove children and their toys, as well as pets, from the area.” Clean Air Lawn Care uses organic fertilizer to maintain customers’ lawns. Not only is organic fertilizer safe for children and pets but it also targets long term soil and root growth, whereas traditional fertilizer simply masks the problem. Much of Clean Air Lawn Care’s equipment is run off of solar-powered electricity, which is collected by the PV panels on each of our trucks. That energy is then stored in batteries and used to power our commercial blowers, string trimmers, organic fertilizer sprayers, and mowers. So essentially while the team is running around from location to location, the PV panel on the truck is charging our equipment by means of renewable energy.
There are many benefits of using electric equipment, one of which is the fact that it is 50-70% quieter than gas-powered lawn equipment, which is extremely appealing to most people. That said, just because it’s quiet doesn’t mean that it isn’t powerful. A common misconception is that electric equipment doesn’t have as much “oomph” as its gas-powered counterparts. Certainly, this used to be the case, but over the past 5 years the manufacturing industry has made vast advancements in electric operations and now our equipment is just as powerful and efficient as gas-guzzling tools.
What else is appealing about electric equipment? Take our mowers for instance: Electric mowers emit 3,300 times less hydrocarbons, 5,000 times less CO, one-fifth as much NOx as gas lawn mowers and emissions are reduced to zero when run on renewable energy. There is really no reason to use gas-powered walking mowers any longer.
So as you can see, our equipment is powerful, safe, quiet, and renewable. Clean Air Lawn Care is ahead of the curve and is always looking for superior equipment to complement our superior service.
The lawn care industry has seen an increase in profits and sales in 2012 and experts claim that the future outlook of the market is favorable. According to the Global Industry Analysts Report, the landscaping services market is expected to reach a whopping “US $80.06 billion by 2015.” Lawn & Landscape Magazine (Sep. 2012), claims that the number one trend for 2013 will be the rise of sustainable practices. As Frank Mariani, owner of Mariani Landscape says, “’ The businesses that employ sustainable business practices, such as the use of bio-diesel to fuel trucks and 100 percent organic lawn care program, are the ones driving the future of the green industry, because it’s what customers want, and it’s the right thing to do.’”
Clean Air Lawn Care has an advantage because we’re already ahead of the curve. We’ve learned from common mistakes, we’ve nearly perfected our system of sustainable and organic lawn care, and we’re on top of new technological trends and green methods. That’s why residential and commercial customers continue to employ us to maintain their lawns and why we’ve had such success in operating lawn care franchises across the country. This isn’t to discredit other lawn care companies who are exhibiting sustainable interest, but in comparison with Clean Air Lawn Care they generally falter in terms of the vastness of their environmental stewardship. From our solar-powered equipment to our organic fertilization and composting system, Clean Air Lawn Care has taken an innovative spin on traditional lawn care, prompted by the desire to make a difference ‘from the ground up.’
Clean Air Lawn Care is the front runner and the original pioneer of sustainable lawn care. Having been in business since 2006, we’ve consistently challenged our competition by providing services that supersede any others. We implement fully renewable practices and truly care about the health of our environment and the communities in which we live.
Many lawn care companies will sell a spiel about how they’re “sustainable” and “green,” yet when put to the test they’re just using the term to attract customers without actually walking the walk. From our solar-powered lawn mowers to our organic fertilization treatment program, we actively practice renewable, sustainable and organic lawn care with every step. It wasn’t easy pioneering sustainable lawn care, we’ve had many tribulations along the way, but because of that we were forced to perfect our system, and now everyone else is struggling to keep up in our renewable wake.
Anyone could hire a guy with a truck and a mower to work on their lawn, but with Clean Air Lawn Care, you’re employing experts who are passionate, considerate, and most importantly, trustworthy. Our equipment won’t pollute your neighborhood (audibly or physically), pets or children won’t be banned from the lawn after we’ve finished fertilizing, and customers have the chance to ask questions and learn from our knowledgeable employees during their visit. Superior people are the best compliment to sustainable practices, and Clean Air Lawn Care has the best of both.
Now is the time to start the process of opening a Clean Air Lawn Care franchise.
